Since 2007 Le Mistral has long been part of the social fabric of Wirksworth, a place where friends meet for coffee, neighbours gather over food and wine, and visitors discover a warm welcome in the heart of the town. Le Mistral is a proud locally led independent business.
Le Mistral has always blended French inspired dining, great wines and beers with the relaxed friendliness of our hospitality. From intimate dinners and celebrations to casual lunches and morning coffees, we want every visit to feel welcoming, relaxed, and memorable.
For the long term, everybody that works here has a share in the ownership of the business and will benefit directly from its ongoing success.
Open All Day, Every Day
The French call all-day dining “service continu” – places with something for everyone, any time of day. Coffee and pastries in the morning, light lunches and “plat du jour” that slide into afternoon tea & cake. Early evening “apéritif” that flows into dinner and ends with “finish- the- bottle- and-maybe-order- another-one” conversations.
Le Mistral is not just a restaurant; it’s a bar with food and lots of other wonderful moments in the day when you can simply pick up a menu and chose something. It can be a little, it can be a lot, the choice is yours whatever the time.
Please note also that we do not have any extra seating outside.
Our restaurant has a ground level area and a downstairs area with vaulted ceiling..
Due to a lack of space and our open kitchen, dogs
(other then registered assistance dogs),
are not permitted at our restaurant.
